Charles "Charlie" Anthony Truesdell, age 83 of Norwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home the morning of January 5, 2018. He was born on September 26, 1934 to Joseph and Beatrice Truesdell, who both preceded him in death. Charlie was married to Mary Theresa, for 60 years of love and devotion to one another.

He graduated in 1953 from Purcell High School and worked at US Playing Card from 1954-1955 where he met his wife Mary Theresa before getting drafted. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he went to work for Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company. Every year he would be Santa Claus for the CG&E Local Union. He retired after 34 years. 

Charlie was a very active member of the Norwood Community. He served as an auxillary police officer. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Variety Players. Charlie was an avid fisherman. Nothing made him happier than sitting by the water with a fishing pole in his hand. He spent his retirement traveling the country, visiting family and finding his favorite fishing holes. 

Charlie was the father of six children, Jim (Amy) Truesdell of Loveland, Ohio, Jan (George) Daugherty of Norwood, Ohio, Jackie (Peter) Roberts of Norfolk, Virginia, Joe (Deb) Truesdell of Adams, NY, Chuck Truesdell of Norwood, Ohio, and Carolyn (Charles) Baker of Loveland, Ohio. 

Charlie is survived by his grandchildren: Ken, Kris, Stacy, Kimberly, Derek, Nathan, Sara, Ryan, Gabrielle, Elizabeth, Meghan, Amanda, Jessica, Mathew, Kyle, Sean, Abby, Alex, Christopher, and great-grandchildren: Katlyn, Chloe, Joey, Anabelle, Caleb, Izzy, Lilly, Aiden, Bryan, and Damon.
He is survived by his sister Beatrice Case and sister-in-law Louise Truesdell, and preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Steven, and his sister Sylvia.

Visitation will be held at Naegele Funeral Home in Norwood, Ohio from 4-7pm Tuesday January 9, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Norwood, Ohio at 10am Wednesday, January 10, 2018 followed by burial at St. Philomena Church Cemetery in Owensville, Ohio.
