Lucy Rose Simpson

Lucy Rose (nee Kelly). May 25, 1934 - July 8, 2017. Beloved wife of the late David W. Simpson, mother of Debra and Sonja Simpson, passed away Saturday, July 08, 2017 from complications of Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Burning Springs, KY. (Clay Co.), the youngest child of Coiney and Nettie (nee Sandlin) Kelly. Pre-deceased by siblings, Ada Combs, Opal Kelly, Troy Kelly, and Fannie Edwards. 1952 graduate of Withrow HS. Career of decades as a real estate agent with firms big and small (Teegarden, M & M, Jordan, and Comey & Shepherd). She loved people, houses, history, Norwood, and all cats. A founding member and past President of the Norwood Historical Society and served on Norwood's Board of Zoning Appeals. Private burial July 11, 2017 at Spring Grove Cemetery. Naegele, Kleb and Ihlendorf provided service to the family.
