Alfred L. beloved husband of Joan O'Connor (nee Schoster) for 33 years, devoted father of Michael (Sally), Tim O'Connor, Theresa Fenske and the late Jim & Alfred O'Connor, loving step father of Donna (Jeff) Monroe, Patricia (Rand) Harkins, Robert and John Wermeling, Mary Beth (John) Roepcke, Annette Wermeling & Carol (Bill) Cline, cherished grandpa of many grandchildren and great grandchildren, dear brother of Jim O'Connor. Alfred Retired after 36 years at GE. Passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Age 82. Residence Norwood. Mass of Christian Burial Holy Trinity Church, 2420 Drex Ave, Norwood, Ohio 45212, Saturday, September 29 at 10AM, friends may call at the Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf Funeral Home, 3900 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, on Friday from 5-8PM. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati or Holy Trinity Church. Alfred was the President of IAMASW local 912 & District 34. He was Honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp. He was the recepiant of the 1985 Karen Silkwood Award by the Christy Institute and he was also the founder of the Greater Cincinnati Occupational Health Center.
