Kathleen Mary Jones, "Kathy" (nee Brockman). Passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on November 22, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Kathy leaves behind her beloved husband, Jerry Jones, with whom she shared an extraordinary journey of 59 years filled with love and companionship. Beloved mother of Douglas (Lisa) Jones & Christine (Perry) Carlisle. Cherished grandma of Ryan (Alexis) Jones & Megan Jones. Dear sister of Carol Ann (Dean) Griffith & the late infant Dickie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, Cyndi & Troy Lum and their children, Isak, Elyssa & Averi who have been adopted by love.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist, 7121 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236 on Tuesday, February 17 at 11 AM, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of mass.
For an impressive 30 years, Kathy dedicated herself to JoAnn's Fabrics. Her love for sewing was a cherished part of who she was, allowing her to create beautiful garments and gifts that warmed the hearts of many. Through her sewing, she nurtured a legacy of creativity and craftsmanship that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of receiving her handiwork.
Kathy’s life was rich with hobbies and interests that spoke to her vibrant spirit. She found joy in bowling, a sport that allowed her to showcase her competitive nature while fostering camaraderie with friends and family. Gardening brought her peace and satisfaction, as she cultivated beautiful blooms that brightened her surroundings. She loved the color purple and penguins. Her love for cooking was evident in her vast collection of cookbooks, always on the hunt for new recipes to tantalize the taste buds of her loved ones. Above all, Kathy cherished her role as a grandmother, pouring her heart into every moment spent with Ryan (Alexis) Jones and Megan Jones, her beloved grandchildren, and Isak, Elysa, and Averi Lum, grandkids by love.
As we remember Kathy, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, creativity, and unwavering devotion to family. The legacy she leaves behind will continue to inspire those who knew her, reminding us of all the joy and warmth that comes from sharing our talents and affection with the world. Kathy will be deeply missed but forever held in our hearts. Memorials may be directed to St. Judes.
