Lillian “Ninnie” Sexton passed away on January 21, 2026. She was born on September 10, 1939, in Bull Creek, Tennessee, to the late Beatrice and Virgil Patton. Lillian was the beloved oldest of eleven children: Bobby, Sheila, Jeanetta, Joetta, Rosie, Ronnie, Jackie, Rhonda, the late Buddy (Clois), and the late Lelia.
She was married for 18 years to her high school sweetheart, the late Clovis Sexton. Together they raised three daughters: Debbie Smith, Karen Moore (Larry), and Lisa Sexton. Lillian was a proud grandmother to Tonya Schnug (Zach), Michael Moore, and the late Anthony Tenkotte, and a cherished great-grandmother to Megan Burns, Colin, Emily, and Josie Schnug.
Lillian owned and operated a grocery store in Northside for 29 years, where she became a familiar and friendly face in the community. During that time, she met Ken Strunk, with whom she shared 28 loving years.
Known for her generosity, kindness, and loving spirit, Lillian enjoyed getting her hair done, listening to country and religious music, and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds especially her favorite player, Pete Rose. She was also a devoted NASCAR fan, cheering for Dale Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick, and her brother, Jackie Patton. One of her favorite daily joys was watching the birds from her room.
