Paul R. Piening Jr.

Paul Richard Piening, Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio, entered eternal life on November 8, 2025, surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with metastatic prostate cancer. Paul is known for his faith, generosity in helping others, and love for family.

Paul is going home to his parents, Paul and Virginia “Toots” Piening and friends. He is survived by his wife, Rose; his children, Arlene Murrin (Kevin), Rachel Scheib (Chuck), Dan (Jaime), and Ben (Kathryn); his grandchildren, Isaac (Michelle), David, Matt, Liz, Abbie, Megan, Elle, Danny, Cami, Morgan, and Carter; great- grandson, Dakota; siblings, Dick Piening (Cindy), Mary Louis (Gene), and Joe Piening (Mary Sue), and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM with the funeral service following at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Anthem House Church, 7974 Barret Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069. Following the service, there will be a gravesite service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and luncheon after at Anthem House Church.

Paul’s family is especially grateful to the VA hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Healing Center (https://www.healingcentercincinnati.org/healing-center-give) where Paul was a regular volunteer.
