Richard H. "Dick", age 94, passed away September 5, 2016. Beloved husband for 70 years of Sophie (nee Mitsoff). Loving father of Christina

Abdulghani, Susan (Michael) Ryan, Anne (Don) Pavely, Julie Harrington, Wendy (Dan) Kroner, Lauren (George) Smorse. Proud grandfather

"Dedo" to Tareq (Tracey) Abdulghani, Noori (Alex) Abdulghani, Nadia (Robert) ONeill, Jennifer (Ben) Allison, Michael and Alison Ryan, Nick

(Brittany) Pavely, Alex (Angie) Pavely, Katherine and Thomas Pavely, Natalie, William and Andrew Harrington, Ben, Sophie and Grace Kroner,

and Elizabeth Smorse. Great-grandfather to Claire, Henry, Cole, Amelia, Jordan, Cora and Maren. He will also be missed by niece Patricia

Rain, sister-in-law Norma Mitsoff and many other family and friends. Richard served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He graduated from the

University of Dayton in 1949 with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He was Building Commissioner of the City of Norwood and

served on Norwoods Planning Commission and Zoning Board. He later worked as a consulting engineer for Hamilton County, St. Bernard

and Evendale. He was a founding father and president of SWOBOA. He was active in the community serving with St. Vincent de Paul,

Kiwanis, and St. Matthew and Holy Trinity parishes. Richard attributed his long life to a daily glass of wine and bowl of ice cream. Mass of

Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Norwood, Ohio on Saturday, September 10, at 10 a.m. with visitation at 9 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the needs of Holy Trinity Church or to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Holy Trinity Church, 2420 Drex

Avenue, Norwood, Ohio, 45212.
