Clovis Eldon Sexton, 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Hyde Park, Ohio on March 21, 2023.
Born at home in Cordell Huntsville, Tennessee on May 17, 1936. Clovis was one of nine children. Clovis played basketball for four years at Norma High School, where he graduated. Mr. Sexton married his high school sweetheart, Lillian Patton, in 1956 he moved to Cincinnati to work. They had three children; Debbie Smith, Karen (Larry) Moore, and Lisa Sexton. Clovis later remarried, Patricia Pennington, who had three sons, David Donahue, Denzil Pennington and Dale Pennington. Clovis leaves 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
When Clovis came to Cincinnati, he worked at Cincinnati Time Recorder Co., a Clock Factory. He started as a janitor and worked his way to become a tool & Die maker. He was Secretary-Treasurer of the Union for over 30 years. Mr. Sexton retired and 54 years of service. Clovis met Laura Johnson who he later worked and cared for. Clovis managed and maintained all of Ms. Johnson’s properties for over 30 years.
Visitation will be held at the Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf Funeral Home, 3900 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, OH 45212 on Tuesday, March 28 from 11AM until time of services at 1PM.. Procession immediately following to St. Mary Cemetery, 701 E. Ross Ave, St. Bernard, OH 45217.
